Mentors are the ones who have been through the hardship of a PAO. They can offer advice, information, and answer any questions you have. Whether it is being there for them during the hard days in the hospital or help take the nerves away, it is so important to be there when you can. By applying to be a mentor, you are signing up to guide a mentee in the right direction.

Mentees could be anyone really. You could be a year post-op and still looking for someone to talk to. We have a list of mentors ready to listen to you, understand you, and get you. Whether you are 3 months pre-op, 3 days post-op, or 3 year post-op, definitely apply for a buddy because a strong support system makes for better mental health. Mental health is just as important as the physical aspect!
